i miss you, Bapak.

He, who always sits in t(his) favorite spot, watching the news with his left hand rested on the arm sofa. And from this spot too, he’ll greet anyone who comes from the front door or from any other room in the house...

In between watching, he gave comments about the news, and then we’ll ask him to explain..

In his last 24 hours of his life, after he had been away for a month in the hospital, he was back on his fav spot, watching the news and he passed away wearing t(his) favorite shirt...

It’s always a wonder how you chose to leave, Bapak...to be surrounded with the people you love and a place you are so familiar with...

I am grateful that his children was given the chance and time to be dedicated to him...and took care of him until your last breath, and how you choose the familiar people and things surround you before you passed away, are the thoughts that I made peace with your passing away.
