Kandura Keramik Clay Workshop

Just this past weekend, I had fun filling my long weekend with crafty and DIY Projects. Not knowing that i'll be having an extra day of holiday, so on friday, I googled, browsed in Pinterest, and youtube-ing to find things to do at home.

First, on Saturday, where I already registered weeks before, I had a Clay Workshop with Kandura Keramik. They are known for focusing in making ceramic products. I found their design are original and organic.

The Workhsop starts from 10.30am until 2.00pm at Dia.Lo.gue artspace in Kemang. We are told to be bring a bowl, not bigger than 30cm diameter. There, they already provided the tools and materials. And how cool it was, they gave a us a goodie bag as souvenir. An apron for the workshop and a ring from one of their made products.

We were given around 1kg of clay each person. They thought us a few techniques, pinching the materials, moldings, making bowls and the characters of the clay itself. After we're done, the works we have made are sent to Bandung, Kandura's workshop for the final touch on giving a glossy look and burn it with a special oven with high temperature. So we'll be seeing our final work in the next three works.
